    Canvas Collection
  89. How durable is my canvas image?
  90. All canvas prints are treated with a High Performance UV-resistant coating that provides waterproofing and enhanced surface protection. All canvas prints are provided stretched on commercial grade wooden stretcher bars. We use archival material including canvas, coatings, inks and paints. The archival inks are rated at 70 to 100 years - so they are as good or better than a photographic print.
  91. What special care should be taken with my canvas prints?
  92. As with any artwork, avoid display conditions with high temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight; contact with solvents can cause inks to run. Canvas prints are coated with a high tech coating specially developed for this process, to avoid scratches and to enable hand painting in oil or acrylics to be done on top of the print. Canvas prints should NEVER be covered with glass. If the portrait becomes dusty, simply wipe with a damp soft cloth - no detergents or sprays.
  93. What should I do if my canvas appears loose?
  94. Canvas is a natural material that expands and contracts with heat, cold and humidity changes. If a canvas ever appears "loose", all that is required is to spray the back of the canvas lightly with plain water and let in dry. The canvas will tighten as it dries.
